Annie Hanauer received a BFA from the University of Minnesota and regularly works with Rachid Ouramdane. Since moving to London, she has worked with Nic Conibere, the Paris Chamber Orchestra, Emanuel Gat Dance, Lea Anderson, Wendy Houstoun and Boris Charmatz, and was a member of Candoco Dance Company until 2014. Her dancing cultivates joy, availability, and sweat, and her workshops aim to facilitate true meetings between people. Joined by collaborating dancers Laila White and Giuseppe Comuniello, Annie will share her own movement practice alongside creative tasks and ingredients from her new creation “A space for all our tomorrows”, a work which explores endurance, support and ideas of utopia. Expect to move, explore and work closely with other people to devise material. Annie is passionate about making dance inclusive and developing accessible working practices. She welcomes experienced disabled and nondisabled dancers to both her workshops. In Zurich, Annie will also be joined by Manuela Runge, Verein TANZflug’s co-founder and iniator of DanceAbility.
