The 4th edition of Social Impact is An Art offers you a major exhibition in collaboration with the Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto NLUS on the theme of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out by the UN through the concept of Michelangelo Pistoletto The Third Paradise.
On this occasion, several educational projects are carried out at the Center des arts giving students the opportunity to work on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals using art as a universal language. Under the title Third Paradise for Peace: Art with Social Impact No4, students collaborate with partners and artists for 4 days during workshops intended to innovate and reflect ever further on the notion of social impact in connection with 17 SDGs. On large canvas, the sign is represented by one of the objectives chosen by the students who launch a thematic reflection through art on this objective. These outlines are then sent around the world to various public and private schools where students complete these reflections according to their culture, their knowledge and their feelings. Anouk Foundation is offering a workshop this year which presents its work by making an ephemeral installation of a hospital room in which the students will be able to achieve the great challenge offered each year: "Art4Impact" and to complete these educational reflections, several performances will take place with the participation of primary and middle school students from the La Grande Boissière campus of Ecolint accompanied by Yuval Avital.
The Social Impact is An Art no4 exhibition offers a colorful, sensory, educational and didactic journey that demonstrates that living in peace means creating a responsible environment around us: respecting the differences of people and their culture, by creating a constructive and intercultural dialogue as an important basis for responsible living inspired by the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
Like a journey, the public is invited to meet the forest of La Grande Boissière to discover a world premiere work presented by Yuval Avital, a creation presented in collaboration with Anouk Foundation as well as Studio Nea de New York and its founder Nina Edwards Anker, a major work related to the themes of UNHCR and the Third Paradise Concept by Michelangelo Pistoletto (see http://www.yuvalavital.com/mediterranean-altar-n-2).
After this sensory and artistic stroll, the Center des arts exhibition opens its doors with an exceptional work "Omaggio a Pistoletto" by Davide Carnevale, Sebastiano Pelli and Francesco Saverio Teruzzi, a tribute to the Third Paradise Concept intended for Michelangelo Pistoletto as well as a unique work by Michelangelo Pistoletto himself, in collaboration with FIBA. In the words of Mr. Pistoletto: "The symbol of the Third Paradise is like a basketball court". The FIBA-International Basket Federation and Cittadellarte Fondazione ONLUS have united to bring art to basketball in the form of the trinamic sign-symbol. The work bears the signatures of the greatest protagonists of the tournament: players, coaches and coaches' assistants of the 32 participating national teams.
The canvas, completed by around 3,000 students around the world, after a committed round the world tour through other schools, are exhibited on the 4 floors of the building, mixed with projections that recall the work of each artist and each partner. The ephemeral installation of Anouk Foundation offers a sensory and intuitive experience like a hostile environment humanized by the Foundation's work carried out in more than 200 hospitals in Switzerland today. On the top floor, the Le Cube gallery hosts the works of Savina Tarsitano, artist and member of the Kids Guernica Foundation, a photographic exhibition that tells the story of shadows, rich in anecdotes and original research that merges with a variety of studies and of disciplines: art, psychology, astronomy, neurology, etc. are some of the fields in which the shadow has become subject to analysis and study. It is a tribute to the shade that Savina consequently brings as a praise to the light "Stefano Raimondi, curator".
