Afrik Rire Geneva Festival – 7th Edition
Laugh, reflect, come together – a stage that makes Geneva beat to the rhythm of diversity.

For its 7th edition, Afrik Rire Geneva Festival returns with a bold, eclectic and warmly inviting programme. True to its spirit of openness and conviviality, the festival presents two exceptional evenings where 12 comedians will take the stage – all performances in French – celebrating laughter, diversity and togetherness.
Friday 3 October – All-Female Line-Up
A major first: the festival opens with an evening dedicated entirely to women! Six stand-up comedians from African, Afro-descendant and urban scenes will shake things up with irreverence, creativity and sharp humour.
On stage:
- Lala, the teacher who turns every moment into playtime, even for grown-ups;
- Nadège, a personal puzzle where every laugh is both won and freed;
- Salima Guerziz, brutally honest, transforming life’s struggles into roaring laughter;
- Sarah Lélé, bold, physical, and delightfully explosive;
- Fiona, a free and fearless voice, disarming with her mischievous smile;
- Flora, humour as a vibrant, unfiltered confession.
A groundbreaking night, full of energy and promise, amplifying voices too often left in the shadows.
Saturday 4 October – Mixed Line-Up
The stage lights up with major headliners and rising stars:
- Omar Dufunzu, a Belgian stand-up legend whose infectious humour has been filling theatres for over two decades;
- Eklips, the beatbox master and vocal chameleon, stretching the limits of the human voice;
- Yazid, the teacher who helps us laugh at our contradictions;
- Mimo, tender yet razor-sharp, bringing people together through humour;
- Imen Lahmar, guided by self-deprecation and sharp wit;
- Certe Mathurin, one of the most brilliant voices in Francophone stand-up, with biting humour that is both tender and powerful.
A distinctive and committed festival
Remaining true to its intimate format, Afrik Rire Geneva Festival focuses on closeness, authenticity and the joy of sharing. The Ecolint auditorium once again becomes a stage for laughter, emotion and unforgettable encounters.
Far more than just a comedy event, Afrik Rire Geneva Festival is a space for freedom, diversity and dialogue, reflecting the spirit of Geneva: cosmopolitan, vibrant and open to the world. This 7th edition reaffirms the festival’s commitment to showcasing the Afro-urban and diasporic scene at the very heart of Europe.
