Piece of Love
A group exhibition inspired by Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Third Paradise
Vernissage on Tuesday 8 September from 17:00.
Exhibition opening hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the "Art for Social Impact" project with the Fondazione Pistoletto, the Centre des arts presents Piece of Love, a group exhibition celebrating life, humanity and peace.
Inspired by Michelangelo Pistoletto’s concept of Statodellarte, the exhibition explores art as a force for transforming the way we live in and relate to the world. It reflects on the connections between people, nature and our environment, inviting us to consider the role each of us can play in shaping a more sustainable and harmonious future.
Drawing on Pistoletto’s celebrated formula, 1 + 1 = 3, Piece of Love brings together the artistic projects of students from La Grande Boissière with the work and performances of internationally renowned artists. Students in Year 12, through their Ecoart project, have developed a curatorial journey exploring environmental issues, while Year 10 students engage with the Third Paradise through visual performances inspired by Pistoletto’s work.
Thanks to the support of a wide range of cultural, private and institutional partners, around fifteen internationally recognised artists are also part of the exhibition, including Nathalie Rodach, Benoît Billotte, Leïla Alaoui and Keziah Jones. The exhibition weaves a common thread between their works: one of life, its fragility and our shared responsibility towards the world around us.
On the top floor, the Anouk Foundation presents work created by students as part of "Art4Impact", a project that brings art and the living world into hospitals, refugee centres and abandoned spaces.
Piece of Love is more than an exhibition: it is a meeting point between generations, disciplines and cultures — an invitation to see the world around us differently and to imagine, together, the world we want to create.
