KTO TAM?
Domovoi Theatre Company
In the silence of an abandoned house, a presence awakens.
Neither ghost nor man, Domovoi is the invisible Guardian of the Home, a figure rooted in Slavic folklore. Condemned to immortality, he is left alone when the family he once cared for leaves the house, fleeing in search of a better life.
What remains of a home when the people who made it a home are gone?
How do you preserve a sense of belonging when there is no one left to care for it?
In a desperate attempt to keep the past alive, Domovoi begins a dialogue with the forgotten objects around him. An old coat becomes the embrace of a loved one. A broken guitar transforms into a balalaika. Slowly, everyday objects come to life, becoming companions in a solitude that is at once painful, absurd and profoundly human.
KTO TAM? (WHO IS THERE?) is a 60-minute non-verbal visual tragicomedy exploring the universal themes of exile, memory, loneliness and resilience.
Through movement, object manipulation, shadows and a language beyond words, Igor Mamlenkov creates a tender and poetic journey into the heart of solitude. Drawing on the visual and poetic traditions of Slavic physical theatre, the performance transforms the simplest elements — an object, a gesture, a shadow, a memory — into a world full of emotion.
Wordless, yet never silent, KTO TAM? offers audiences of all ages a deeply human theatrical experience that transcends language and cultural boundaries.
