Chu Teh-Chun Prize Exhibition
La Grande Boissière student exhibition
Vernissage and Prize Award Ceremony on Wednesday 10 June at 17:00
Opening hours of the Centre des arts: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00.
Established in 2022, the Chu Teh-Chun Prize supports the artistic journey of Year 11 students at La Grande Boissière, offering them a unique opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage with art in a meaningful way. More than just a competition, this prize acts as a bridge between the academic world and the creative process, helping students to see art as a language of its own — a tool for introspection and a powerful means of expressing their vision of the world.
Through exploring the life and work of Chu Teh-Chun, students gain insight into the importance of perseverance, the richness of multicultural influences, and the essential role of self-reflection in artistic creation. These values, which guided the artist throughout his career, resonate strongly with the students' own creative experiences.
A jury made up of members of the Chu Teh-Chun Foundation and Ecolint representatives will select the most outstanding works. The overall winner will be awarded an artist residency, either in Switzerland or abroad, providing a unique opportunity to further develop their practice and explore new creative horizons.
